Fraser Island, August 2003
After the Gold Coast, I boarded the bus to Hervey Bay, staying with Palace Backpackers for the night before my self-guided 4WD Fraser Island tour.

Our second night, we camped at Indian Head. Some of us did a hike up to the tip top of the headland. This photo is taken looking down from the heights. From there, we could see sting rays and sharks just meters from where some people were swimming.

Some of us got up in time to see the sunrise off Indian Head. Unfortunately, it was pretty cloudy, but you can still see the rays coming from the heavens behind me.
