My birthday

Andrea and Sarah, and I went for a lovely Indian dinner for Sarah's last night in Sydney. Too much wine, as shown by the red cheeks.

Andrea and I went to the Food and Wine show at the Convention Centre in Darling Harbour. Here we are with our favourite wine, a lovely unwooded chardonnay.

Me and Donna Hay (the Australian Martha Stewart) at the Food and Wine Show. She signed a copy of her book for Sarah.

Andrea made me spaetzle, a german specialty, for dinner. She made it the traditional way, as my kitchen is quite rudimentary. YUM!

Femke's birthday and bon voyage party. We went to a lovely pizza place on Oxford St.

Andrea and Michelle came over for a Chinese dinner. I made wonton soup and fried rice.

Michelle had us all over for her specialty: maple marinated salmon, scalloped potatoes and garlic green beans. To die for. Her roommate, Victoria, made tiramisu for dessert. And I wonder why I gain weight here?

So we all had to show our fat bellies.

Went to Govinda's with Michelle, Andrea, Martin, Sabine and Christian. Lovely vegetarian buffet to stuff our faces with.

Then we all went upstairs to watch the movie. Last time it was Bowling for Columbine. This time it was Frida.

We all met at The World Bar in King's Cross for drinks. It's our bar; the teapot bar. While the rest left early, Andrea and I stayed and got drunk.

July 21st was Sabine's birthday, so we met at the Blackbird Cafe in Darling Harbour for dinner. The next day, Michelle left for Melbourne.
